Crookshanks Words: Liddow

So I finally preprdered HBP!

I know. I've been very lazy. But in reality, I have been disputing whether to get the standard hardback with the cool green cover , the "deluxe" edition, or the "adult" edition from England.

But I finally decided to preorder the "deluxe" edition, and then I will buy the standard hardback with the cool green cover at Toys R Us in Times Square on July 16 (you see, I bought the first five hardcover HP books there the day after OOTP was released, so I am a wee bit nostalgic).

And if HBP is really good, I might just get the British at a later date. We'll see...

So which editions are you all getting?

Thoughts on the HBP

Hi all,

With less than a month before the release of HBP, I have begin to revisit two age old questions:

1) Who is going to die
2) Who is the Half-blood prince

I think Remus is going to die, because the fact that Remus is a werewolf and Wormtail has a silver hand cannot be just a "coincidence." Plus, JK seems to like offing the Marauders.

I think Godric Gryffindor is the HBP, because JK is a fairly predictable writer, so if Voldemort is the heir to Slytherin then Harry has to be the heir to Gryffindor (after all, only a "true Gryffindor" can pull the sword out of the sorting hat). So I figure that Godric Gryffindor was probably a half-blood and seems like a prime candidate for the title. Plus, it will be important for Harry to discover that he is an heir of Gryffindor in this book to prepare for the showdown in Book 7, and who better to tell him than Mr. HBP himself.

Any thoughts? I'm interested to hear any and all competing theories.
